Welcome to the Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation
We appreciate your interest in and support
of the Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation. A foundation such
as LARHF is only as strong as its membership; individuals coming
together and working actively to pursue its goals, which we define
through our Mission Statement:
The Foundation's mission is to diligently
preserve and dynamically present the history of railroading in
Los Angeles through its three core programs: public outreach,
archival preservation, and multiple-media publishing. Each of
these programs is interdependent and together they will enable
the Foundation achieve its mission.
We believe LARHF is unique among rail historical societies
through our actions: we continually strive to present Southern Californian
rail history through engaging events, presentations, field trips by rail and motor coach,
and publishing (both printed and electronic). We summarize our activities
across three main categories:
- Education: To promote and share our collective rail-based history with all fellow Southern Californians through our strategically placed “Satellite” exhibits and public lectures. LARHF exhibits
- Adventure: To offer exciting and unique rail-based adventures that appeal to all railroad aficionados and those fascinated with the history of railroading in greater Los Angeles. LARHF news

Yet as all not-for-profit foundations like to say,
we cannot do it without your support. Whether you choose to join
our membership, contribute historical
information to our efforts, or make
a gift to the Foundation, we value and appreciate your support.
If you would like to join LARHF, we offer the following
levels of membership for your consideration. Memberships are annual
and may be tax deductible (please consult your advisor). Each level
comes with a membership pin and card, an annual subscription of
our Foundation publications, and priority availability to our various
events held throughout the year. For your security, we process our
membership payments through PayPal.
